Who we are

This website and the Hermes Fleet app are operated by AIowa LLC ("AIowa", "we"). Questions: see the support page. SUPPORT

Website data

• The website itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies and includes no third-party analytics.
• Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, request time, requested page, browser identifier) as part of delivering the site. These logs are kept for a bounded operational period and are not used to profile visitors.
• If you use the beta interest form, we store what you submit — at minimum your email address, plus any other fields shown on the form — for the sole purpose of sending you a beta invitation and related launch information. You can ask us to remove your entry at any time. We do not sell this information or share it with advertisers.
• Opening a link to GitHub (source, issues, docs) takes you to GitHub; GitHub's own terms and privacy policy apply to that visit.

App data

• On your device, the app stores gateway addresses, display names, usernames, and connection preferences so it can reconnect to gateways you have configured.
• Gateway credentials and short-lived connection tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain rather than the app's ordinary cache.
• Recently viewed conversation and fleet snapshots may be cached on the device for temporary disconnects; they are not sent to Hermes Fleet or an AIowa-operated service.
• When you explicitly submit a message or attachment, the selected gateway receives it. That gateway's operator — not AIowa — controls its processing, retention, and deletion.
• If you use voice input, speech recognition runs on the device; recognized text is submitted to the selected gateway only when you send it, and the audio is not intentionally uploaded by Hermes Fleet.
• The app does not include advertising identifiers, a Hermes Fleet account, or third-party analytics, and it does not use gateway content for advertising.

Deletion and retention

• Website: beta interest entries are kept until the beta closes or you ask us to remove them.
• App: local data remains on the device until it expires under the app's cache policy or you remove it using available controls.
• Removing a saved gateway removes its stored credential and gateway-local cached data.
• Deleting the app removes local app data subject to iOS backup and device-management behavior.
• Data already sent to a gateway must be deleted through that gateway's controls.

Beta testing

• The beta is distributed through Apple TestFlight. When you install or use a beta build, Apple collects crash logs and usage data and provides them to AIowa as part of TestFlight, and Apple's TestFlight terms apply.
• Feedback you send us through the beta feedback channel reaches AIowa; please do not include credentials, private gateway addresses, pairing QR contents, or conversation transcripts.
• There is no charge to participate in the beta.

Security

• Use an encrypted gateway endpoint for traffic that leaves your local device, and review the endpoint before saving a pairing payload.
• Local biometric or passcode protection can reduce casual access to the app, but it does not replace device security, gateway authentication, authorization, or transport security.

Suspected security issues

Do not post suspected vulnerabilities in a public issue, discussion, pull request, screenshot, or log. Report them privately per the repository's SECURITY.md. REPO SECURITY.MD

Children

The website and app are not directed to children, and the website does not knowingly collect contact information from children. If you believe a child has submitted the beta interest form, contact us and we will remove the entry.

Changes

If we change this page, we will update the date below and, for material changes affecting the app, the app's privacy documentation in the same release. The current app privacy policy always governs the app.
