Hermes Fleet beta terms
These terms cover your use of the Hermes Fleet website and your participation in the free Hermes Fleet beta.
1. The beta
Hermes Fleet beta builds are pre-release software distributed through Apple TestFlight. Your use of TestFlight and beta builds is also governed by Apple's TestFlight terms, which apply in addition to these terms. Beta builds are time-limited and may stop working when Apple expires them.
2. No charge
The beta is free. There is no fee, and no payment is required to participate.
3. Pre-release software; no warranties
Beta software may be incomplete, unstable, or wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and the beta app are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Do not use beta builds with data you cannot afford to lose; back up before installing.
4. Your gateways, your responsibility
Hermes Fleet connects to gateways you select and control. You are responsible for your gateways, your credentials, and the data you submit to them. AIowa does not operate your gateways and does not control what a gateway operator does with data you send it.
5. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you agree AIowa may use them to improve Hermes Fleet and related products, without obligation or compensation, consistent with Apple's TestFlight terms. Do not send credentials, private gateway addresses, pairing QR contents, or conversation transcripts.
6. Open source
The Hermes Fleet iOS client source code is available under the MIT License, which governs your use of the source code. These terms govern use of the website and the distributed beta app. GITHUB REPO
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AIowa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the beta or the website, and AIowa's total aggregate liability arising from the beta or the website is limited to the amount you paid to AIowa in the twelve months preceding the claim, or fifty US dollars ($50), whichever is greater.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and AIowa LLC agree that the state and federal courts located in Iowa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
9. Changes and ending the beta
We may change these terms when the product changes; the current version is always on this page with its date. We or Apple may end the beta or your participation at any time. You can stop any time by deleting the beta app; deleting the app does not delete feedback you already sent.
